Requirements

  • Minecraft 1.21.1
  • Fabric Loader
  • Fabric API
  • Cloth Config
  • Java 21 or newer

Installation Paths

Client Installation

  1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  2. Put BetterRailwaySystem, Fabric API, and Cloth Config into the client mods folder.
  3. Launch the game and confirm the blocks and config screen are available.

Server Installation

  1. Set up a Fabric dedicated server for Minecraft 1.21.1.
  2. Put BetterRailwaySystem, Fabric API, and Cloth Config into the server mods folder.
  3. ModMenu is not required on the server.
  4. Accept the EULA and finish standard Fabric server setup before launching.

Important Notes

  • For multiplayer gameplay, both the client and the server should have BetterRailwaySystem installed.
  • Server-side media sync only works when the server also has the mod installed.
  • If a server does not expose BetterRailwaySystem networking channels, related client features are disabled automatically.
